Chia Seed Craze

With the summer heat dying down some of us may want to stay in the bikini-ready shape we’ve worked so hard for over the past couple of months. A great way to do so is by incorporating more chia seeds into your diet. Chia seeds deliver a massive amount of nutrients with very few calories, high antioxidant content. Most of the carbs in them are fiber which may help you lose weight. They are also high in Omega-3 fatty acids and they reduce blood sugar levels. Chia seeds are an easy ingredient to incorporate in your dishes and reap these health benefits.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoon chia seeds

½ cup milk of your choice

1 teaspoon honey

Your choice of fruits and other toppings

Instructions: Pour ingredients into a jar and mix well. Let settle for 2-3 minutes then mix again very well until you see no clumping. Cover the jar and store in the fridge for at least two hours. When you’re hungry, top it with your favourite fruit and enjoy!
