Grab some Green Juice

If you’re anything like us, you remember a couple of years ago when the green juice fad was everywhere, I mostly saw this craze amongst my mom and her friends. You’re not alone if the idea of blending up celery, kale, spinach and cucumber does not sound like the most appealing choice, however it has many health benefits. Green vegetables are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals which help reduce inflammation. Many also enjoy drinking this vegetable-packed smoothie as an easy way to incorporate more veggies into their daily routine. However, be careful when adding fruits into the juice as these sugars may contribute to an unwanted increase in your blood sugar levels.

Here’s our easy green juice recipe! Check out Wednesday’s post to check out the benefits of green juice.

1 bunch of chopped kale

1 large lemon

1 inch of peeled ginger

1 large cut cucumber

2 large sliced green apples

4 whole celery stalks

Optional fruits

Instructions: To begin, juice the vegetables in the order listed above, add more fruits if you want a sweeter taste. Feel free to strain the juice through a sieve if you don’t like pulp. Drink and enjoy!
